Small groups are beginning! Here's the logistics:
- Small groups are gender-specific.
- They are no larger than 6 students.
- They are led by a trained Surge staff.
- They meet on Tuesday nights during Surge.
- They are focused on applying what the Bible says to their daily lives.
- They exist to help students take their next step with Jesus together with friends.
Here's the application for our small groups.
Small group is a place for students who want to grow together as they take their next step with Jesus. What kind of student are they?
They are willing to care and become better friends with others in the group. They feel like they can be honest about themselves. They can be trusted with what is shared by others in the group. They are willing to receive encouragement, prayer and advice from their group leader and the group. They treat the small group time with respect. They are interested in what others in their group feel and think. They want to pray and encourage their group in reading their Bible and spending time with God. They ask for help to stay accountable in their own walk with God.
This school year is a journey. It's going to have a lot of ups and downs. Being in a small group means that you have a group of friends who are going to support you just as you will support them.
We are praying for the best fit for you! We will let you know after you turn in your application what group you'll be in. If we have any questions about your application BJ or another staff person will call you.
